ART BEYOND QUARANTINE BLOG (US)

TLC has been honored to feature and partner with Art Beyond Quarantine, a US-based blog that featured all of our Collections. Professor Mark Auslander and his colleague Professor Pamela Allara documented some of the works featured in the collections and wrote their reflections about these pieces on their blog. The duo, along with Professor Kim Berman, co-founder of TLC, published an academic piece on The Lockdown Collection in the prestigious MIT Press Direct Journal: African Arts.

Visual artists to capture Covid-19 experience in #TheLockdownCollection initiative

South African visual artists represented their take on the country's Covid-19 lockdown through The Lockdown Collection initiative.

The charitable initiative aimed to capture the extraordinary time in South African history and raised much-needed funds for artists and the broader community as a result of the ripple effect of Covid-19.

TLC is honored and grateful for the support shown
by the media for this initiative.
